Opinions, thoughts, and definitions

It is fun to sit down and write whatever pops into my head. Well, at least what is safe to put out in public......

1) If there is anything that is poorly named, it is the so-called "Smart car"

2) Organic. A word that means we sucker you into paying more for food that tastes the same as other foods.

3) There should be a minimum age for girls to have earrings.... and it should be at least when the kid is old enough to decide on her own. And the age should even be higher for boys.

4) I consider it a form of child abuse disguised as a mother's vanity, to punch holes in a baby's ears to put baubles in.

5) Everybody talkin' 'bout Heaven ain't going there.

6) When it comes to how you dress, don't advertise what you're not selling.

7) I am convinced a woman invented the tie. What idiot would invent something that if it is turned around, he could be hung with it?

8) I am convinced one reason some people divorce so quickly and easily, is because they dated a lot and changed dating relationships often.... and got used to it.

9) If God had intended for us to sing without music, He wouldn't have allowed instruments to be invented. And He wouldn't have inspired Psalm 150.

10) Serving God is more than a bunch of rules, it is a relationship. However, there are rules we will keep if we truly love Him.

11) If I quit drinking and eating everything the alarmists say is bad for me, what fun would life be?

12) I wish I was as good of a friend to others as they are to me.

13) It if is true that your greatest ministry will come out of your deepest pain, I may be the next Billy Graham.

14) Why did God create snakes? So some of us would have something to be afraid of?

15) Every time someone refers to themselves as their animal's mommy or daddy, I about gag. It is an animal... not a child.

16) I'm not a fan of tattoos and think people are crazy for getting them, especially several, but the people who get them where they can't be covered up are truly nuts.

17) Sometimes Christian business owners can be just as dishonest and unethical as non-Christians. Sad, but true.

18) Passenger air bag: a female passenger.

19) Sometimes I don't enjoy an experience as much as I could because I am already dreading when it is over.

20) If I could afford to buy one and afford the gasoline, I'd like a Hummer. It would be like driving a tank down the road. I'd feel safer. And I could run over each Prius I come upon instead of passing them.

21) I am 100% convinced that if churches made it safer for people to confess the not-so-nice things they are dealing with, more people would seek help, people wouldn't feel so isolated and like they are a freak among a congregation of perfect people.

22) It is really tough sitting in the church pew when you're dealing with a not-so-nice issue that could get you ostracized or banned if the perfect people in the church knew.

23) There are no perfect people in the church. Just a bunch of people wearing masks.

24) Marriage is a great institution, but what man wants to be in an institution?

25) If we ran everything we did through the spectrum of Philippians 4:8 - only to think on things pure, of good report, lovely, and honorable..... it would change our talk, our viewing, who we hang out with, what we read, how we talk... and every aspect of our lives.

26) I feel bad for vegetarians.

27) I actually enjoy speaking in public, but not sure there is anything left in me to speak about anymore.

28) Many secular romance novels are nothing but porn for women. Porn isn't just videos or pictures.

29) If we are afraid to stand up for our beliefs in free America, and so easily cave into friends and relatives on what we believe, how on earth will we stand up to true persecution?

30) It is more hateful to pat a gay person on the back and tell him he is fine the way he is, than to confront his sin and tell him he has to quit his sin and serve God.

31) We can love people straight into hell.

32) Some days, I feel I have this idea of what I need to do to measure up to being a Christian, and wonder if it is what God's ideal is. Am I trying to be what others have drummed into my head, or what God expects out of me?

33) There are times I wish I could have my brain wiped of all religious ideas and start over with just a Bible and God, instead of having my head full of preacher's and others' ideas and ideals. It would be easier to separate what is of God, and what is of man.

34) Abortion: because murdering babies would sound bad on a politicians political platform.

35) The cross I carry often gets too heavy, and I wish I could trade it in for another, but there are those who carry heavier ones than I do, and God is able to help us all carry our cross.
